Shrines and Dargahs in Haryana

  • Dargah Naugaja Peer It is situated in Shahabad in Kurukshetra on NH - 1. It is the shrine of Baba Naugaja Peer. His real name was Sayed Ibrahim Badshah. He was originally belonged to Iraq. There is a Shiva temple situated in the vicinity of the shrine. People visit both the places.
  • Devotees often offer chaddar (cloth) incense sticks and watches on the tomb of the peer.
  • Shrine of Mira Nau Bahaar It is situated at Guhla - Cheeka the district of Kaithal. This shrine is believed to be a 1000 years old. Baba Mira is also called as Bada Peer as he was eldest among his siblings.
  • Bab Mira wrote many Sufi hymns which are very popular. The shrine is the Samadhi place of Baba Mira. Fair is held at the shrine in the month of June, five days after Nirjala Akadeshi.
